The Dana Point Fesitval of Whales Grunion Run 5K Run/Walk and Kids' 1K Run will take place in Doheny State Beach on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 8:00am.  This is a fast and flat scenic 3.1 mile run along the coast and through Doheny State Beach.  The event is part of the two week Dana Point Festival of Whales.  For more information about the Festival of Whales, please visit www.dpfestivalofwhales.com.

REGISTRATION and PACKET PICK UP

You can register for this event on-line up to  3/11/10 or on-site at the event. 

Packet pick up will be Saturday, March 13th at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point Harbor from 9:00am to 2:00pm.  STAY AND CHECK OUT ALL THE OCEAN INSTITUTE HAS TO OFFER!  Special rate for Grunion Run participants of $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child on 3/13/10.   

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Proceeds benefit the Doheny State Beach Interpretive Association, and will be used to support interpretive events in the park and the refurbishment of the Visitor's Center, Orange County's largest public aquarium.

This will be a timed event.  Timing services provided by PrimeTime. 

Age Group awards.

Event will be held rain or shine.  No strollers, rollerblades or pets allowed.  Registration fees are non-refundable and bibs are non-transferable.

PARKING

Parking is available within the State Park on a first come basis at $10.00.  Free unlimited parking is available inm the west end lots of the Dana Point Harbor.  There will be complimentary race day shuttle service from 7:00am to 10:00am from the Harbor to the event and back.
